The Labyrinth.

Sometimes I get lost
In these labyrinths inside my mind,
Finding demons I'd forgotten about.
They tell me their names,
I write them down.
They whisper to me,
Phantoms of a past I'd rather forget.
They whisper in malice,
Leaving me
A human crash site,
Of blood, tears,
And poetry.

Society.

The sad fly with a noose around their neck,
surrendering to the beck and call of Death
as she makes sweet love to their souls.
She hears the intoxicants flow through their veins
hoping to satiate the pain that makes them scream in the dark.
Quietly.
For in this society,
the mad are worshipped and the sane are burnt at the stake;
innocents eat lead and morality is dead;
where people kill in the name of "religion",
not questioning what kind of "God" demands the bodies of children.
Can you see it yet?
Or has the wool in your eyes rendered you inept?
Look into the mirror, look into the abyss,
Tear off the veil that provides the comfort of numbness.
You've never tasted the madness that truth brings along,
and that's why you dance and sing happy songs.
But the sad have never had that luxury,
For them, death is the only reality.

On casual misogyny and how much I hate it when people talk about my boobs.

10th April, 2017,
So, my board exams started yesterday, and the first one went pretty well. Still have nine more left. *Internal crying intensifies*
Anyway, after I came home yesterday my mom told me that two women were gossiping about my boobs (like, seriously? Why?). Little did they know my tigress of a mother was standing right behind them and she adequately put them in their place by saying, "That's my daughter, and I think that's very unfair of you to speak like that." The women scampered off without another word and weren't seen again. I may have laughed at the whole incident but on the inside, it's left a very bitter aftertaste.
To those two uneducated cunts,
Firstly, they're MY boobs. Whether they're big, small, non-existent, it's none of your fucking concern. You know why? 'Cause you don't pay for my education, my food or my WiFi. Secondly, it's not my fault that you're so fucking incompetent that your saggy, wrinkly boobs can't even fill your bras. It's also not my fault that you're poxy old hags whose faces work better than any kind of contraceptive. And finally, show some class. Oh wait, I forgot, you have none.
Let me get straight to the point. Women need to stop with casual misogyny.
I have never seen a man participate in casual misandry. Ever. Yet, I've seen a lot of women say the nicest things with the maximum amount of insincerity. Which is so sad because we need to stick together. Misogyny coming from men is not as hurtful as misogyny coming from  women. The very same women who'll probably have children one day, and will end up teaching (consciously or unconsciously) their sons that it's okay to disrespect women and their daughters that it's okay to be disrespected. I'm not saying that all women participate in casual misogyny, I'm saying that all women have been on its receiving end.
I want to believe that there are decent men in the world but every time I dress up and go out, I get gawked at in such a way that the existence of unicorns seems more realistic at that point. I am not saying that all men are assholes, in fact I've been very fortunate to know some extremely decent, well mannered and sweet guys but then I'm constantly reminded of the overwhelming majority of jackasses that I have to face everyday.
And what's worse is society (inadvertantly, maybe) tells us to accept it. For example, the sentence "Don't dress provocatively." has probably been heard by every woman, ever. But I don't hear anyone telling the men, "Don't rape." Or, "Don't pass lewd comments." If a girl gets molested on the streets, the first thing the people say is, "She must have encouraged the people who molested her."
And to such people I say, go shove an electric pole up your nether orifices. You uneducated pieces of shit are wasting the oxygen that the trees work so hard to produce. Do us all a favour and just shut up, preferably forever.
Women need to remember that we must never see another woman as a threat. Patriarchy has subconsciously taught us to hate other women, but we must make a conscious effort to empower other women and not tear them down. And when I speak of women, I don't simply mean my "cis"-sters. I mean all women, cis AND trans.

To sum up,
1. Casual misogyny is unacceptable.
2. Be yourself (unless you're an evil little shit, in which case be anything but yourself).
3. Trans people are valid. If you disagree, raise your hand... Now put it over your mouth.
4. Don't be a judgemental cunt.

Thanks.
Bye.

On mahogany trees and why people who ask for dowry are assholes.

So, I've been wanting to write this for ages but I'm lazy AF. Anyway, few months ago my mom and I were talking about this mahogany tree we have in the backyard of our house (when I say backyard, I mean a narrow passage at the back of our house). Apparently some of neighbours wanted it to be cut down, but as mahogany is a protected species, nobody can cut that tree without proper permission from the authorities (yay!).
So my mom was casually like, "That tree will be used for your dowry when you get married." For a second, I was quiet, then I said, "Firstly, I am not marrying anyone. Secondly, I will DEFINITELY NOT marry anyone who asks for dowry."
My mom laughed and said, "You'll be the one taking the dowry, eh?"
I laughed, "Obviously. People should pay me to marry them."
But on a more serious note, this dowry taking bullshit needs to stop. Like now. I don't even know how people ask for dowry? Have you no shame?
And the number of dowry killings in this country waaayy too high for a country that worships the female form as the Goddess.
Ironic isn't it?
Stories of women being brutalized and even killed by their in-laws because their parents couldn't or refused to give dowry is not unheard of, even now. And that's what enrages me. It's the 21st century for fuck's sake! And this is exactly why the idea of marriage (arranged or love) terrifies me. I don't want to die because I refused to pay someone to marry me. I'm fucking amazing, okay? And if I choose to marry you, you have no idea how lucky you'd be. And that goes for every single woman out there. If she says yes to marrying you, that's the biggest gift you can receive. It's highly upsetting that I need to say this out loud, but a woman is worth so much more than those materialistic things you want.
Also isn't it enough that a girl's leaving her home and family to come live with you? And let's be clear, you're not that much of a catch, okay? (Unless you're Jensen Ackles or Ian Somerhalder) She's sacrificing more than you know, so the least you can do is not be a fucking asshole and beat her up cause her family didn't pay y'all. Her family gave you their child. The child they raised with as much love and affection as your parents raised you. Can you think of the heartlessness you exhibit when you hurt another human being for something as tawdry as money? And to the parents of these heartless people, you are even more horrid because you, despite having a child of your own, hurt the child of another.
Now, some of you may argue that dowry giving is a tradition. To all those of you, I say, "It's also a tradition to pay a bride price to the bride's family but I don't see you doing that so shut your fucking patriarchal douchebag mouths."
To the girls (and guys) out there, if they're asking you to pay them to marry them, just walk out. You're worth so much more. Even if you're madly in love with that person, don't. If they loved you, they wouldn't be asking you for money. I know I would walk out, even if I loved the guy to bits.

Remember,
You deserve unconditional love, not someone treats you like cattle.

As for the dowry takers,
Don't fucking pollute the gene pool with your worthless seed.

Thank you for your time.
Night.

Sugar.

Dark eyes and tattooed skin,
Show me that pure soul, you hide within,
I don't need your love to heal me,
Just touch me, feel me.
Don't need you to say you love me,
Or that you care,
All I care about is your body,
To breathe you in while you're near.
Love my body, I don't want to feel,
Show me that I exist, that I'm real.
Hold me close through the night,
I'll be gone by morning light.
You are beautiful, with dark eyes that shine,
But the irony is, though you're with me, you aren't mine.
